Jack rushed away from the ever expanding fissure and clutched onto a lamp post before he was eaten up by the ground. He looked up at his opponent. "You're a dragon ... aren't you?" He murmured.
The lamppost twitched and inched towards the hole in the earth.

Ryuu laughed, and said "Well, look who decided to be smart for once." He stood on the open air over the fissure, and contemplated transforming, but decided not to. He simply fired a lightning bolt at the lamppost, hoping that the metal was conductive.

It was metal, of course it was conductive, unluckily for Jack. He cried out as a lot of voltage coursed through his body and dropped down the fissure. He tried to grab at the sides but it didn't work out too well. He succeeded in badly cutting his hands in three seconds and succeeded in stopping himself after fourteen ...
Dammit, how could he get back up?

Ryuu descended until he was level with the Templar and said "Well, looks like your in a bit of a pinch. Don't worry though, if you fall, I won't catch you." He chuckled, and his hand burst into flame as he reached for the Templar's hand, attempting to burn his hand to the point that he fell into the bowels of the earth.

Surprisingly Jack grabbed his hand, God that hurt, he gritted his teeth and tried his best not to scream, instead focusing on heating up his own palm to protect himself from getting burned and, if he was lucky, get Ryuu away.

"Trying to save yourself?!" Ryuu asked, amazed that this grandpa had the balls to just grab his currently very en fuego hand, and try and hitch a ride. "Not happening, Ossan." Ryuu said, and flared his hand, lighting the sleeve of the Templar's jacket on fire.

Jack cried out and fell back into the abyss before slamming into a small ledge. Dammit, this guy was tough, his sleeve was burning, his hand felt like it had been seared and ... ugh, he didn't have the strength to get up. He climbed up onto one knee and tried to stand up on the narrow rocky ridge.

Ryuu descended until he was once again level with the old man, and said "Where are your little Templar friends now, huh?" Meanwhile, on the surface, the dragon was destroying a different part of the city, when a ball of holy light struck him in the side. He turned and noticed a band of Templars standing in the street, several wielding only light magic, but a good amount using various weapons. One Templar in the middle yelled "Charge!" and the men wielding melee weapons charged, attacking the dragon mercilessly. (I'm signing control of the Templars that just showed up over to you.)

~Thanks, I was going to send a few out this turn anyway~ Cross
The first Templar pulled up his greatsword and swung it at the dragon's shoulder, another armed with a poleaxe ran to the dragons chest and tried to stab it in the through the throat. A third Templar clapped his hands together and parted them to shoot a bright flare at the dragons face.
The woman broke from the group and sped down the street trying to find where Peter was ...

The dragon roared and swatted at the man with the poleaxe and succeeded in not dying, but caught the flare of holy light and the greatsword full on, stumbling backward in pain. He then roared again, and breathed a gout of flame at the one wielding light magic. Meanwhile, Ryuu floated in the chasm with the barely conscious Templar, waiting for something to happen, when he heard the dragon roar. He smirked, and said "So they're finally here." and flew up out of the chasm, searching for Templars to obliterate.

As Ryuu flew out of the fissure there was a whistle and a Templar spun her blade around, glaring up at him. ---
The mage against the dragon tried to cast up a field but that fell down after half a second. The other two tried another attack, the broadsword user swinging at the leg again, while the other one tried to slash at the same leg with his poleaxe.

The holy runes on the weapons enabled them to pierce the dragon's armored scales, and the dragon hopped back and roared in pain, then swiped at the one with the poleaxe. ~~~ Ryuu turned and saw the Templar, and laughed saying "Come to try and save your comrade, have you? You're certainly welcome to try. I think he may actually be unconscious by now, but he's in there. Feel free to try and rescue him." He crossed his legs and sat Indian-style in mid-air, enjoying the show.

The mage looked at him coldly and then leapt into the abyss ... ---
Meanwhile the poleaxe wielding Templar was slashed across the chest and collapsed, important organs sliding through the tear in his chest. His partner roared in anger and stabbed upwards with his weapon.

THe weapon pierced into the dragons chest, and the wound filled with holy light, driving the blade even deeper. The dragon roared and staggered back, the holy light causing the wound to in essence fester, and within about 5 minutes, the dragon collapsed, and died. ~~~ Ryuu was amazed at this woman's bravery. He shrugged, and decided to kill two birds with one stone. A rather large stone called the earth. He hovered over the chasm, and exercised his power, spreading his hands apart and slowly bringing them together. As he brought his hands together, the chasm began to close. Sure, it wasn't very fast, but it was closing.

The templar muttered something angrily as she began to fall, she reached out, grabbed at her captain and landed on a ledge. Yeah, it hadn't been her eyes, the chasm was closing. She pulled the old man over her shoulder and tried to leap out, propelling herself on a light beam. It was working, but it was doing it slowly. ---
The two suriviving Templars looked at each other, nodded and ran off, they'd deal with the bodies later. For now, find the other dragon and kill it.
